Suncoast Chapter Taking Action
On May 9th 2008 SCSF launched an online petition drive in support of the removal of the five geo textile t-groins on Upham Beach; the northern most section of St. Petersburg Beach, Florida.

Surfriders stance is Upham beach is not a place for experimentation.
The Geotextile tubes are a danger to the public, ineffective, and a waste of taxpayer money.
We state no more city, county or state money to be spent on the project except to pull the t-groins out.

Met twice over the last month.
They agreed on the following events:

Saturday June 7th.
Walk the beach.
Walk the streets.
Meet interesting people from all over.
Tell a little about our issue with Upham.
