(Below) Weeks of strong onshore wind has brought a ton of sargassum weed to the shoreline of Brevard County.
The sargassum weed often contains small sea turtles. People walking down the beach notice the turtles and bring them to the Sea Turtle Preservation Society in Indialantic who then brings them to the Brevard Zoo who then takes them miles out to sea to areas of sargassum weed. I shot these photos Sunday morning. I was there for an hour and this is how many came in. www.SeaTurtleSpaceCoast.org
