After a slow start
and nearly flat Saturday morning the Billabong Jr. Pro was
called to
start around 1pm Saturday 3/4/06. A North/Northeast wind
swell
would bring the waves around thigh high to kick off the event and
it was on.
We didn't get on the scene until Sunday, but the surf was
definitely good
times for any gulfster making the trip considering the
recent flatness
we've
had recently in our winter season. Sebastian Inlet is an excellent
place to
host this event every year.
The finals came down to Blake Jones a
Sebastian Inlet local taking 4th
place, Dylan Graves from Puerto Rico
taking 3rd and his close friend
who made the trip with him Alex Gray
also from Puerto Rico taking 2nd.
But it was none other than Sterling Spencer
from the gulf coast who took
first
place.
Here are some photos from the event.
