Hey Gulfster, I see you're in a bit of a flat spell back home, so thought I'd drop you a quick email about the conditions down under in Australia this month. Surfed mostly Winki Pop and Bells Beach (about 300 yards apart from each other). I found nearly 100 yard right hand points from head high to nearly double overhead with mostly offshore winds, especially in the morning.
Then I moved to some beach breaks at Jan Juc and 13th Beach where the wind stayed offshore until mid afternoon with head high+ A frame hollow peaks at the right tides. I also surfed Joanna last week on the southern coast. It's really big and powerful! The wind was light to moderate onshore, so it had a bit of chop on it. These pics are from Bells the first week. Then dawn patrol at Winki Pop 2 days ago. Bells Beach carved stone yesterday morning, then 13th beach yesterday early afternoon. Locals have been great and called these, clean head high + waves we had the last few days "quite ordinary" with last week's bigger swell "fair".
