Surfrider Plat Dunes & Beach Cleanup 5/16/09 • Mad Beach We had around 17 Surfrider Members show up, along with other random people to repair a dune system, put up boarder ropes and plant new vegetation at the public beach access adjacent to Tom Stuart Causeway. It's the one with the snack shack. Someone noticed that people were cutting through key dune areas and not allowing for dune plant life to grow. The dunes are key for nesting and beach health. Brandy Marzo, Andre Marzo and Lee Doney headed up the entire event along with a host of other "Surfriders". We have some huge events coming up and it does include some parties.
